Knowing how to write your wedding vows is one of the most delicate tasks. The words you and your soulmate recite to each other will be cherished for years and years to come….

How to write your Wedding Vows:

Remember to start early. Your vows are going to be recited in front of a lot of people, so starting early will give you time to plan and take some of the stress off.

Carry a notebook…Write down things that your partner does that make you happy and maybe even a little annoyed (through thick and thin, right)? Write down things that made you fall in LOVE. All the little quirks and silly little puns that you have shared. Memories made and future plans. Of course you will not use all that you have wrote down in your final vows, but it will give you lots of material to be inspired by.

Discuss your vows with your Fiancé. We do not want any surprises at the altar. Make sure you are both on the same page. Are we going corky and short, or sentimental and long? You want to have the same style, tone and length.

Not a writer? DON’T panic… Start by saying who your fiancé is to you. Your best friend, lover, soulmate… Partner in crime. Do not forget to say “I love you”, of course! You would be surprised with how many people forget to say I love you.

Get sappy, maybe even SILLY! Do not be ashamed to pull on the heart strings. If the words are heartfelt they are not cheesy. Making jokes in your vows will help your nerves and get your guests laughing… Remember those “little annoying things”. The gift of making your soon to be spouse smile will serve your marriage well.

Always end with a final promise… The promise of forever, until death do us part.

Practice. Practice reciting your vows. Read them a few times. Memorize them and breathe. YOU’VE GOT THIS!

Utilizing your Vows after your marriage….

This is some of the best wedding advice we have heard. If you and your spouse get in an argument, get out your vows, sit on opposite sides of the room (with or without a bottle of wine) and re-read the promises that you have made to each other out loud. This shall remind you both of why you chose each other forever.

Testimonials

“The Villa was very professional and responsive! The grounds are so gorgeous and unique. We had a horrible storm come through the day before our wedding and all the electricity was out. The Villa provided different alternatives to accommodate our day as a back up plan should the electricity fail to come back on before the evening of our wedding the next day. Thankfully the electricity came back on the morning of our evening wedding and we were thrilled they did! We had the most spectacular wedding!!! This venue is a one stop shop and provides everything you need! Catering, flowers, ceremony and reception space and a wedding coordinator!! We LOVED Lauren and Joche!!!! They were both amazing!!! A special thanks to Karen and Danielle who helped us out on our wedding day as well!! Our wedding was everything we dreamed for and more!! It was worth all the money! If you book this venue you will not be disappointed!”
